The centrepiece of the development in Salford Quays, the Media City studio block includes seven high definition television studios, two audio studios, a technical block and the Open Centre featuring a bar, a variety of cafes and an information centre. With several façade constructions the main works at Media City comprise lightweight steel SFS wall construction with aluminium composite rainscreen panels and glazed windows, other façades incorporate structural silicone glazed curtain wall.
