Learning & Development in McMullen's
McMullen Architectural Systems recognises that people are its greatest asset and is committed to the development of all its employees.
We believe that investing in the skills and competencies of our staff and developing them allows us to offer career progression and ensures our long-term competitiveness.
To achieve this:
- We train our staff to the highest standards for each level and encourage personal aspirations.
- The company has a clear learning and development plan which identifies learning and development needs and actions to help us achieve our business objectives.
- Each person joining the company receives a comprehensive induction programme so they fit into the company and job as quickly and easily as possible.
- Employees regularly meet with their managers to receive feedback and consider any learning and development needs.
- We employ a dedicated Learning & Development Manager.
Continuing professional development is a priority for the company and we regularly organise in-house presentations and off-site visits to ensure our employees are kept up to date with industry developments and to network with other organisations.
We develop high-level technical skills through the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology, based out of Bath University. Employees also regularly receive training from established brand leaders such as Pilkington Glass and Schüco and industry specialists such as Construction Skills and Construction Industry Training Board.
Staff are supported to gain appropriate professional qualifications and recognition through institutions including the Chartered Institute of Building, Institute of Leadership and Management, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
